Okay, hold up. I’m actually writing another blog post?! Whaaaaat. It has been a hot second since I’ve hopped on WordPress to share with you all the goings-on in my life.
Life has been really crazy for the past couple months! But something that I really want to start getting into the habit of is keeping up with my favorites for each month. I think it’s a great way to have all of my interests from months past all in one spot to look at later and remind myself of all the crazy stuff I was into, and also to simply reflect on all that’s happen in the month that’s passed. Now let’s get into the fun stuff.
Great Lash BIG Mascara
This mascara has been a long time favorite of mine. I remember that the first time I used it was in high school when I was in the school musical! Ever since then, it’s the only thing I like to wear. This past month, it was oftentimes the only thing I would wear in terms of makeup. Working as a full-time nanny doesn’t require much in the “dressing up” department, so I like to keep things as simple as I can with my makeup. I love the brush on this mascara. Because my eyelashes are so long already, the big brush makes it easier to cover more ground in fewer swipes.
Something that (unlike most of the population of women in the world) I just recently discovered was the beauty of Victoria’s Secret! When I heard the unfortunate news that they were discontinuing their swimwear collection (sad times) I decided to check them out! I got this adorable swimsuit for $30 (yes, ladies, that includes the top and the bottom). Anyone who is familiar with VS bikinis or any bikinis in general knows that $30 is a steal! Normally just one piece alone is nearly $30. I’m obsessed, and the suit is super cute too!
Victoria’s Secret is a new favorite store too. The girls working there are always so sweet and ready to help if help is needed! Love it, and I’m going to keep going there!
This body spray is the bomb. I love this scent – it smells a little bit like guy’s cologne, but honestly, I think that’s why I love it so much. It’s the perfect light, fresh, summer scent. Maybe I’ll wear it at the beach? I mean, it is called True Escape! I got this body spray at the semi-annual sale, and I only paid about $3 for it. I love saving money on things that are amazing!
Pomegranate Raspberry EOS Shave Cream
Oh man, this shave cream is amazing! Not only does it smell absolutely incredible, but you can use it in the shower or even when your legs are dry. I love this stuff because it goes on just like a lotion, and you don’t have to wash it off if there is excess on your skin after you’re done shaving – you just rub it in! I definitely recommend this stuff. And it was only about $5!
My New (Old) Car
This beauty right here is seriously the best thing. It’s a 2007 Saturn Vue, it runs like a dream, and it’s everything I ever wanted in a car. All I really wanted was something simple to get myself from point A to point B, but this car is way better! The best part about it is that I bought it entirely with my own money and owe nothing on it. I tell you what, folks. Saving (as infrequently it has happened in my life) sure is worth it.

Engagement Ring (!!)
The most exciting portion of my favorites was actually given to me in May…but due to my terrible inability to ever post on my blog…it’s going to be here in my June favorites instead. Hope you don’t mind (hehe).
The love of my life proposed to me on May 18th!!! My ring is the most beautiful thing ever. It is so simple, and it’s everything that I didn’t even know what I wanted! It sparkles in the sunlight and fits me perfectly. It took me a while to get used to it, but now that I am, I feel lost without it on my finger. I’m so excited to finally be able to plan my very own wedding after years of pining after all the beautiful ones on Pinterest.
Shout out to my amazing fiancé, Nicholas, for being so gracious and supportive even when I may get a little frustrated and upset sometimes in this crazy time of life. I love you!
